Our inspiration: a family tradition
MJ's Nordic Bakery was born from a lifelong passion for baking, deeply rooted in family tradition. My father has been my inspiration since childhood, and even today, nearing 40, I still consult him on ingredients and techniques. My dream was to share a piece of my Finnish heritage, the country where I was born and raised, with my new home in Ipswich. This bakery is a bridge between my past and present, offering authentic Finnish flavours to our community.

For me, Finnish baking is the ultimate comfort food. There’s truly nothing better than enjoying freshly baked goodies alongside a hot cup of tea or coffee. It's about more than just food; it’s about creating moments of warmth and coziness. We hope that every customer who tries our treats experiences this same sense of comfort and joy, bringing a little piece of Nordic hygge into their day.
